HISTORY

The neighbourhood of Old Oakville is the original settlement area of the Town of Oakville and home of the historic shopping district.

OVERVIEW

Old Oakville is located in South Central Oakville. This neighbourhood borders Sixteen Mile Creek to the west, Lake Ontario to the south, Cornwall Rd. to the north and Chartwell Rd. to the east. In addition to being centered on the Oakville Harbour, this area offers wonderful shopping, dining and theatres. It also consists of many tree-lined streets, historic homes, parks, churches, the Central Library, Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Old Oakville offers easy access to the QEW and GO station.
