Glen Abbey

HISTORY

Glen Abbey is one of the newer planned communities in Oakville with many of the homes located near walking and biking trails with lots of recreation opportunities. Some historic landmarks to the town of Oakville remain in this area. The first residential units in Glen Abbey began construction in 1981 and peaked in 1990.

OVERVIEW

This newer subdivision is the second largest community in Oakville. The neighbourhood of Glen Abbey was built surrounding the prestigious and well-known Glen Abbey golf course designed by famous Jack Nicklaus and has been the site of many Canadian Open golf championships.
