HISTORY

Beginning in 1827, Colonel William Chisholm purchased land at the mouth of Sixteen Mile Creek for a Shipbuilding yard that is now part of “Central Oakville”.

OVERVIEW

Central Oakville is bordered by Dorval Dr. to the west, Speers Rd./Cornwall Rd. to the north, Sixteen Mile Creek to the east and Lake Ontario to the south. This neighbourhood is walking distance to many of the lovely downtown shops, restaurants and galleries. Located near Lake Ontario with easy access to the QEW highway, Oakville Transit and GO transit.
