Karen Anthony was drawn to the real estate industry by a number of personal and professional experiences. She was inspired by her father who began a long and successful career as a Toronto realtor in 1945. As a Landscape Architect, Karen developed a strong interest in residential design while her extensive involvement with community-based organizations reinforced a natural desire to work with people.
Karen was born and raised in midtown Toronto's Cedarvale neighbourhood . She worked tirelessly with her father to preserve the Cedarvale/Nordheimer Ravine and the restoration of the Glen Cedar bridge. The Cedarvale ravine was the subject of an independent study written by Karen while earning her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Toronto. She moved back to the neighbourhood in 1990 and lives there with her husband and three children.
Licensed as a salesperson since 1990, Karen apprenticed Charles Anthony Real Estate & Mortgage Broker where her responsibilities included leasing and property management. In 1996 she moved to Savvy Realty Corporation and in 2000,Karen joined Royal LePage Real Estate Services Limited- Johnston & Daniel Division, Brokerage. She received the Award of Excellence in her first year and has continued to win awards including the prestigious Diamond Award of Merit.
Karen's experience ranges from residential to investment real estate and includes condominiums, co-operatives, co-ownerships, single family homes and multiple residential buildings. Since 2003 she has been publishing The Crystal & Encore Towers Real Estate Report for the condominiums located at 2 and 8 Covington Road. She is also particularly knowledgeable and passionate about the Cedarvale and area neighbourhoods and has been publishing her monthly real estate newsletter The Cedarvale Report since 2001.
Karen is a full time real estate professional who knows Toronto extremely well and has worked throughout the Greater Toronto Area. She provides her clients with the right balance of information, support and representation so they can make decisions that are in their best interests. Karen's success in real estate is a result of her ongoing commitment to client service and satisfaction.
